Tools and Materials You’ll need:
For the drape mold:
This pdf guide, printed
Rigid cardboard
A flexible, water-resistant material that can be cut, such as craft foam, canvas or tyvex (used for sheathing houses). This will be the top of the drape mold
X-Acto or other precision knife for cutting
Straight-edge ruler
Glue (tacky glue or hot glue gun)
Optional: Glue Stick or Spray Adhesive
For the slab construction:
Your favorite clay
Slab roller OR rolling pin and thickness guides for slab rolling (long paint stirrers or yard sticks work well and are usually 1/4” thick)
Polymer rib or credit card (I prefer the red polymer Mudtools rib) for compressing clay slabs
X-Acto knife, or other precision blade.
If making the condiment holder or shot glass holder:
clay slip
tool to apply slip, such as a paintbrush
